Iris

The site-specific installation Iris on the glass facade of the Kubus pavilion, created for Heinz Mack’s exhibition at the ZKM, is inspired by the artist’s experiments and those of his followers with light effects of a physical nature. The existing facade, composed of angled glass panels covered with a translucent, dichroic film, shimmers in rainbow colors depending on the viewing angle and dynamically shifts its iridescence as one moves along the facade.
